What do I eat? - Nutrition basics

How many times have you tried to answer the questions, “What do I eat?”… or maybe “What do I feed my kids?”.

The responsibility can feel so heavy to keep ourselves and our families healthy and make the best choices with nutrition. Not to mention all the factors that go with the question… values, budget, accessibility, culture, taste preferences, medical conditions, allergies, life schedule, etc.

Food does not only feed our bodies with energy and nutrients, but it is also an experience that feeds your soul. When we take into account all of these factors, it can feel overwhelming to answer the question. When we get overwhelmed… giving up seems easy. That can lead to picking the easy foods or possibly the ones that aren’t so healthy for us.

I want you to know that the answer to this question isn’t the same for everyone… what that means is, google probably can’t help you too much. Your family is very different from the next and your body’s needs are different. Overall you can find some great health info out there, but will it help you towards your specific goals?
